Every Inipa sauna is hand-built with intention — using reclaimed and natural materials that age beautifully and perform with integrity. Our saunas aren’t mass-produced kits with no insulation; they heat up quickly and retain the heat, making them much more energy efficient. They are crafted one at a time, designed to fit your space, your view, and your ritual.

Each build begins by hand in Fairfax, California, in Dean’s shop — double-walled for insulation, weather-sealed for longevity, and finished with natural materials chosen for warmth and durability. Every line, joint, and surface is intentional, merging traditional craftsmanship with modern wellness design. Check out our gallery to learn more.

Yes. Every Inipa sauna is made to order, designed around your vision and environment. You can choose your layout, add doors or windows to frame your view, and personalize your floor or finishes. We believe your sauna should feel like it belongs to you — because it does.

Every Inipa sauna begins with a conversation. We start by understanding your space, your goals, and how you want to feel when you step inside. From there, we collaborate on the design — layout, materials, and features — to create something that fits your environment and your rhythm.
We believe the process should feel as intentional as the product — simple, personal, and built around you. Fill out the contact form or give us a call - let’s start your journey!

Very little. Inipa saunas are built to last with durable materials and thoughtful design. Wipe surfaces, allow airflow after use, and treat the wood with natural oil as needed. With mindful care, your sauna will age beautifully — becoming even more yours over time.

Our name, Inipa, is inspired by Inípi — the Lakota word for “to live again,” referring to their sacred sweat lodge ceremony. While we draw inspiration from the ritual of heat, steam, and renewal, we honor it from a distance — with deep respect for its cultural and spiritual origins.
We chose the name Inipa to represent our own interpretation of that same idea — renewal, connection, and presence — without claiming what is not ours.

The Nordic cycle is the practice of alternating between heat and cold — typically 15 minutes in the sauna, followed by 3 minutes in cold water, and rest in between. This rhythm enhances circulation, clears the mind, and cultivates resilience. It’s a simple ritual with profound effects. Consult your doctor before embarking on this practice.
